They may earn a Certificate of French Language Proficiency(basic, intermediate or advanced)concurrent with fulfillment of the requirements for a bachelor\u2019s degree. Students who are pursuing business or administrative studies at York University may obtain a Certificate of Proficiency in French for Business (basic, intermediate or advanced).\n\nThis certificate is also open to students who already hold a bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution, and who are admissible according to Faculty and University policies.\n\nStudents must <a href=\"http:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/files\/2016\/01\/app_to_graduate_cert.pdf\" rel=\"\">apply for these certificates (PDF)<\/a> before graduation.\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/certificate-programs\/french-language-proficiency\/\">Certificates of French Language Proficiency<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/certificate-programs\/french-language-proficiency-in-business\/\">Certificates of French Language Proficiency in Business<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Conditions and restrictions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n\n<ol>\n \t\n\n<li>These certificates are not open to students who are pursuing or who already hold a degree in French Studies.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Students must choose either the Certificate of French Language Proficiency or the Certificate of French Language Proficiency in Business.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Students cannot customize a certificate by combining courses from both certificates.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Students who have been exempted from any of the required courses should consult the Undergraduate Program Director.Students who are exempted from AP\/FR 2081 3.0 and\/or AP\/FR 2082 3.0 must replace these credits with AP\/FR 4090 6.0.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Courses need to be taken in sequence i.e. AP\/FR 1030, AP\/FR 1080, AP\/FR 2081 and AP\/FR 2082 etc. A student cannot redo a lower course to get a B after doing an upper level course.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>All course required for each certificate, except the Certificate in Business (Advanced Level), must be taken in the Department of French Studies, Faculty of Liberal Arts &amp; Professional Studies (Keele Campus).<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Courses taken at Glendon College or on a Letter of Permission in the \u201cExplore\u201d Program do not count towards the Certificates.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>Schulich School of Business students may use three credits earned while on exchange in a French speaking country; the three credits can be in any subject provided the course was taught in French.<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>These Certificates are not available to Francophones.<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ol>\n\n\n--><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please click on the following link for certificate programs: https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/certificate-programs\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":596,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82971"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/596"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=82971"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82971\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":99523,"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/82971\/revisions\/99523"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/fr.laps.yorku.ca\/fr\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=82971"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
